Curve Lockdown Rack
The Curve Lockdown Rack is the only softrack that provides superior protection for your surfboard rails.
Cracked rails are a major problem with standard softracks, as the conventional design places the tensioned webbing strap in contact with the edges of the top surfboard in 4 places, which can result in that sickening cracking noise as the surfboard rail collapses under the pressure of the very strap which is being applied to secure it!
With Curve Lockdown Racks, the padding has been cleverly engineered to wrap between the webbing strap and surfboard rail, thus avoiding any direct contact between strap and rail, and providing full rail protection when stacked with 3 boards or less. This feature is unique to Curve Lockdown Racks.
Conventional softracks often rely on a secondary length of webbing to secure a surfboard stack. The drawback of this design is that sideways movement of a stack of surfboards can occur and even when fully tightened, the boards can flutter or lift from the vehicle roof, often with catastrophic results!
With Curves unique loop padding system ‘cocooning’ around the stack of boards, the usual problems of sideways movement or lifting are totally eliminated, making these racks the most secure softracks on the market…hence the name ‘Lockdown’.
Rack Capacity
Because of the superior hold of the Lockdown loop system, Curve softracks are like a single and double softrack built into one – where other brands will have a single rack for 1-3 boards and a double (side by side) rack for over 3 boards, one set of Curve racks is all you need for 1-6 shortboards or 1-3 longboards on a single rack. This offers greater versatility for surfers who don’t always travel with a fixed number of boards.
Lockdown Racks connect 2 ways
Through vehicle doors (standard attachment) so that camlock connects inside the vehicle
Via standard side rails / load bars (without crossbars) so that the camlock connects outside of the vehicle on top of the surfboard stack.

The Lockdown racks can be used for ‘naked’ boards not in bags because of the unique rail protection offered by the system.
