Our Simple Custom Order Process
Ordering a bespoke surfboard in Cornwall is easy. Once you contact us by email or text, we’ll guide you step by step through the process.
Yes, there’s a short wait while your board is being shaped — but we promise it’s worth it when you finally hold your new stick under your arm for the first time.
Matching Your Surfboard to Your Ability
To shape the right board for you, we’ll ask a few quick questions:

Can you paddle out back in medium swell?

Can you catch a wave before it breaks?

Do you surf across the face, bottom turn, top turn, or cut back?

Are you progressing to floaters, barrels, or even airs?
Your surfing ability, weight, height, and home break (Polzeath is very different to Pipeline!) all play a role in creating the right surfboard design.
Custom Design & Construction
Using AKU Shaper CAD software, we’ll create a full design sheet showing your board’s outline, rocker, thickness, dimensions, and volume. Adjustments are easy at this stage.
Next, you choose your construction:

Polyester on PU foam (classic feel)

Epoxy on PU foam (a bit lighter a bit stronger and more eco)

Epoxy on EPS foam (lighter on high volume boards and for high performance surfing)
We’ll explain the pros and cons of each option so you can make the right choice.
