This classic mid-length surfboard is meticulously designed to offer surfers of all levels an exceptional riding experience.
In search of a midlength that is going to compete with soft boards in terms of wave catching but be far more interesting to surf.
The board dimensions offer a perfect balance for varying surf conditions, catering to both stability and maneuverability.
The board has a relatively flat rocker with light single concave in the nose to double ‘V’ concave in the tail.
The outline is full and quite parallel through the middle there is some curve towards the tail
This design allows for smooth transitions and enhances maneuverability, making it a versatile option for various wave conditions. The outline features a full nose that tapers to a more refined tail, providing a balanced mix of stability and performance. The combination of the flat rocker and strategic concave placements ensures that the board can generate speed effortlessly while maintaining excellent control.
The rails are medium thick at the midpoint thinning to low, fine and boxy in around the tail.
The most striking feature is the concave deck. The idea here is to lower the centre of gravity of the rider, be more comfortable to paddle, increase the boards stability, ease of duck dive as the volume is reduced through the centre of the board.
The tail section is finished off with a squash tail, which provides a nice balance between pivot and hold, making it suitable for both punchy beach breaks and smoother point waves. The squash tail ensures that the board can handle tight turns and cutbacks with ease, while also maintaining enough surface area to be stable in slower, mushier conditions.
The construction of this board is solid, with a stringerless EPS core that makes it lightweight and responsive. It's glassed with a combination of 2 x 6oz fiberglass on the deck and single 6oz on the bottom, giving it a good blend of durability and flex. The result is a board that feels lively underfoot but is still capable of taking some serious knocks without compromising performance.
The fin setup is a versatile 2+1 configuration, allowing for a single fin for a classic feel or twin plus trailer for a more modern, progressive approach. This flexibility means that you can fine-tune the board to suit your style and the conditions you're surfing in, making it a great all-rounder.
Overall, this midlength is designed to be a wave-catching machine that doesn't sacrifice performance. Its thoughtful design and construction make it an excellent choice for surfers looking to up their wave count while still enjoying a responsive and engaging ride.
