7-3 SuperFrog Mid Length Surfboard Epoxy Laminate FCS11 Fins
The Super Frog
• Fun board-inspired nose shape for a playful and responsive ride
• Volume focused beneath the chest to enhance paddle power and stability
• Flatter deck for improved stability and increased volume
• Low mid thickness rails at the centre of the board tapering at the nose and tail. The tucked bottom edge is brought further forward.
• Bottom contour: More ‘V’ in the nose reducing at the wide point, to ‘V’ in the tail with slight double concave.
• As the boards namesake the Super Frog has a pintail for the best hold in faster man oeuvres.
• Moderate nose rocker, flattened through the wide point with a kick in the tail.
• FCS 10"Centre Box with FCS11 side bites but Twin fin will be an option for this shape.
This one is 7’3 x 22 ½” x 3 1/8” x 57 litres. Black Blush Epoxy Tint laminate on Pu foam core.
Shaper Bill Attlee derived this surfboard model from the highly successful Flying Frog (Wasp) design. Looking for an alternative high performance mid length for heavier surfers and those slack smaller wave days. The outline has been pushed out by ¾”, the thickness increases by ¼”, the nose has been pulled in with the relevant extra kick in the nose to mitigate the nose dive effect of having less surface area at the pointed end. The bottom shape has changed from the heavier single concave to rolled bottom ‘V’ of the Flying Frog to moderate ‘V’ in the nose to double concave with ‘V’ in the tail. Hence the rails are thicker with a tucked bottom edge as opposed to rolled bottom rail edge of the Flying Frog.
The overall result is a surfboard that carries more weight relevant to its length, and be more of a performer in smaller waves, slightly more stable with less nose area will be a touch easier to duck dive and muscle through white water on the way out..
We will be producing the Super Frog in sizes from 6’6” to 8’1”. As usual we are sure this design will be copied by other manufactures before long so get your order in with the guys who understand how this board will work.
We hope to have a quiver of Super Frogs in stock soon with a couple of demo models available by the summer season.
